Lately I’ve been looking over my Character classes (mainly the Base Character and Main Character classes) and have been wanting to refactor them since their lengths are quite large. These classes contain lots of necessary functions, but idealy these specific functions should be split into components/classes of their own. This cleans things up and makes usability much easier. So in this small series I’m going to be discussing my process with refactoring them.

A ‘Story-based Action RPG’, made in Unreal 4, in which you work for the God Of The Dead and traverse the Underworld! Designed to be a twist on the action-rpg genre, bringing together elements from FFXIV/WoW, DMC, Dark Souls, Kingdom Hearts, and 3D platformers.
This is the old version of Potato Mage developed in GameMaker:Studio. An Active Battle RPG, (semi-turn based), mixed with elements from real-time combat gameplay styles.
A platforming game made in GameMaker:Studio. This game features quick, action oriented, ‘magic-based’ combat which became an inspiration for Potato Mage: Belfry Of The Ultima. Created with one of my friends who was the main artist for the game.
A game I developed and released for the iOS app store, made in GameMaker:Studio in which you play as a cloud and dodge spikes. There are also additional characters that have their own unique gimmiks. Not on the store anymore due to it costing 100 bucks per year, thanks Apple. :’)
A recent project that’s a unique RPG concept I was coming up with, similar to Undertale, made in GameMaker:Studio. Eager to add more content to it sometime.
